Chicago, United States - May 7, 2018 /MarketersMedia/ —

Tech Global, a leader in touch screen performance and innovation, has just released the first 27 inch UHD touch screen monitor, part of Tech Global’s Evolution series. Not only is this the first 27 inch touch screen monitor released with UHD resolution and projected capacitive technology, but also the first UHD desktop touch screen monitor to feature a full 3840x2160 (4K) resolution.

UHD, also commonly referred to as 4K in consumer displays, stands for Ultra High Definition; which has four times as many pixels (8.3 million pixels vs. 2.07 million pixels) as traditional 1080p Full HD displays. The greater the pixel number, the sharper the image will be, four times sharper to be exact so that no detail is spared.

More and more applications are moving toward a higher resolution interface for better user experience. UHD displays allow for greater user productivity since less screen real estate is needed to display pertinent information to the end user allowing for more options. This also takes multi-tasking to the next level by having a more robust display environment that was not possible previously.

Having a trusted and proven touch technology is just as important as the display technology discussed earlier. This 27” UHD touch screen monitor is built on the trusted Evolution projected capacitive technology. With over a decade of research and development, it is considered one of the best touch technologies in the industry. Featuring an ultra-fast (5ms) touch response, with dual redundancy technology which ensures accurate touch points each time, every time, perfect for mission critical applications.

Other standard features include 3mm thermally hardened edge-to-edge glass designed for safety and easy cleaning. Anti-glare etching to minimize glare in difficult lighting condition. Proprietary heat management system that extends the life of the display with an unheard of 124,000 hours MTBF in 24/7 commercial environments. HDMI 2.0 (HDCP Compatible) input provides expanded connectivity with advanced technology as well as the latest DisplayPort inputs designed for maximum performance and compatibility. A 4-year warranty comes standard with advanced replacement that covers both commercial and consumer applications with lifetime phone support.

The 27” UHD Evolution touch series is also available in a medical grade edition which adheres to the strictest certifications (60601-1) required in healthcare environments. The edge-to-edge glass is also compatible with CDC high level disinfection making the cleaning and maintenance process simpler. Every pixel counts when lives are on the line. A sharper picture with UHD resolution can mean the difference in diagnosis outcomes.
