Sarasota's Bayside Pet Resort Known For Its Pet-Friendly Amenities, Customer Service, and Community Support, Builds a Fun Doggie Swimming Pool For It's Sarasota Guests

Sarasota, United States - February 11, 2019 /PressCable/ —

Sarasota, Florida. Bayside Pet Resort’s Sarasota Facility 2.0 kicked off on Feb. 1st, 2019 highlighted by its new doggie Pool.

Although Bayside operates locally in the Sarasota Gulf Coast area, it has become nationally known for dog and cat friendly amenities, its focus on customer satisfaction, and its service to the community.

The Sarasota facility opened in 2012 and was the original of the three pet resorts. The other two facilities are located in Osprey, Florida – opened in 2016, and Lakewood Ranch, which opened in June, 2018.

Angie Pantazis, Bayside’s Executive Director said “We knew our Sarasota customers were aware of the popular doggie pools in the other two locations. If you could see the fun that our dog guests have when playing in one of our pools, you’d want one for your dog too. So, we listened, and built a new pool and sun deck for our Sarasota facility. Now our nearby customers don’t have to drive out of their way or switch locations to let their dogs enjoy a dip in the pool”.

The always supervised pool is four feet deep in the center with shallow sections and steps for smaller dogs. In consideration of older dogs, a sloping sun deck provides an easy entry and exit point without causing additional stress on their joints. Dogs who are still learning to swim are not excluded from pool festivities. Bayside provides life vests in all sizes and shapes so that every guest can enjoy their stay safely.

This upgrade is typical of Bayside’s long time commitment to quality in everything they do for pet guests in their care. Among the many other highlights of their services are separate dog and cat suites, live webcams for pet owners to remotely check in with their pets, dog agility and obedience training, professional pet grooming, special diet management, and an experienced, caring staff.

Owners Bob and Lynne Huff spent many years in the senior care industry before deciding to bring the same kind of care that people get to the many people who board, and want quality pet services. The success of this vision is reflected in hundreds of 5-star reviews from happy and loyal customers.

“We’ve created a nice balance by opening three state-of-the-art facilities, while staying focused on providing family style personal attention to all of our guests. Over the past seven years, we’ve become very good at that. We consider all of our guests to be part of our family, and we never want to give our customers a reason to go anywhere else for pet services.” said Angie.

The Sarasota facility, and the other two locations offer daytime and evening tours of the facility. You’ll just need to call to make arrangements or stop by during business hours. All Bayside Pet Resort locations are open Monday through Friday 7AM – 7PM and 8AM – 5PM on the weekends.

In a first, Bedouin women lead tours in Egypt's Sinai

Apr 21, 2019

ABU ZENIMA, Egypt — Amid a stunning vista of desert mountains, a Bedouin woman, Umm Yasser, paused to point out a local plant, and she began to explain how it was used in medicine to the group of foreign tourists she was guiding. Umm Yasser is breaking new ground among the deeply conservative Bedouin of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Women among the Bedouin almost never work outside the home, and even more rarely do they interact with outsiders. But Umm Yasser is one of four women from the community who for the first time are working as tour guides. "It is...

ADEN, Yemen — In the summer of 2017, a plane chartered by the United Nations idled on the tarmac at an airport in the Horn of Africa as officials waited for final clearance to deliver half a million doses of cholera vaccine to Yemen. Amid the country's ruinous war, the disease was spiraling out of control, with thousands of new cases reported each day. The green light for the plane to head to northern Yemen never came. The U.N. wasn't able to distribute cholera vaccines to Yemen until May 2018 and the outbreak ultimately produced more than 1 million suspected...

SANAA, Yemen — A large explosion at a warehouse in Yemen's rebel-held capital on Sunday killed at least 13 people, including seven children, and wounded more than 100, local medical officials said. The Iran-aligned Houthi rebels, who seized control of the capital in 2014, said the Saudi-led coalition had targeted the warehouse with an airstrike. The coalition denied carrying out any strikes in the area. The state-run news agency in Aden, aligned with the internationally-recognized government, said the rebels stored weapons at the warehouse. The health officials said more than 110 people were wounded in the explosion, which damaged nearby...

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Saudi Arabia detained 12 people, including two dual U.S.-Saudi citizens, in a new round of arrests in the kingdom targeting individuals supportive of women's rights and those with ties to jailed activists, people with knowledge of the apprehensions said Friday. It marks the first sweep of arrests to target individuals perceived as critics of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman since the killing of writer Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul in October. The arrests come despite a global outcry over Khashoggi's grisly killing by Saudi agents in an operation directed by former top...
